Welcome to Moyie.... where you're only a stranger once!

The village of Moyie is located in the beautiful south eastern portion of British Columbia and offers amazing year round opportunities.

Summer offers a multitude of activities including boating, fishing, swimming and all types of water sports in our crystal clear lake as well as hiking, ATVing, camping and exploring. Only a short drive away from historical Fort Steele, our Bavarian City of Kimberley or the Key City of the Kootenays, Cranbrook.

Winter is fairly mild with a good amount of snow for outdoor activities such as cross country skiing, skating, snowshoeing, snowmobiling all right out your back door.

Don't forget spring and fall where the natural surroundings will astound you with their colours and wildlife.  Truly a place where you will always find something to do.

Town History

Moyie is a community rich in history dating back to the 1800's where it was first established as a mining community. Many of the old building sites can still be explored and buildings dating back to the 1900's are still actively used today.
